Reception's nativity!

We are so proud of every child in reception for their brilliant performances in the nativity on Monday! Well done reception and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas! 

The festive season!

Our little Hedgehogs have been very busy decorating biscuits for the Christmas fayre! The children worked really hard and we hope you like them! Merry Christmas from Hedgehog class! 

Anti bullying week!

This week to celebrate anti-bullying week, Hedgehog class have been working with 6.2. The children spent the afternoon working together and giving each other compliments. The children really enjoyed making new friends and the year 6 children were very helpful! 

Remembrance week!

This week the children learnt all about the importance of wearing poppies. The children got to spend an afternoon in the life of a soldier! They learnt about the trenches and what the soldiers had to eat and what they had to wear.

Hedgehog class also showed off their artistic talents and painted some beautiful poppies! 

We are very proud of how quietly they stood for the 2 minute silence, well done Hedgehogs! 

 

What a busy week!

It's been an exciting week in reception! To introduce our topic about the police, we had 2 police officers come to visit us! We learned all about their job and how they can help us. We also got to try on their uniforms! I think some of our reception children would make super police officers! 

Doctors and Nurses!

This week the children have become doctors and nurses! They have learnt so many big words this week including thermometer, stethoscope and temperature and they have used them in their play.

The children fixed all of my broken bones and looked after me!

We even got a visit from our school nurse.

Exploring our school

This week we took the children on an adventure to explore our school. We started on the back field...

And found a gigantic slug and lots of woodlice!

And we ended up in the library...

We read lots of our favourite stories and had a wonderful morning exploring!
